Monitor: daily checks and alerts
Your site is read every day, and you hear about it the day something breaks or drops.
Monitor reads your site every day. If a check that used to pass now fails, or a number you track drops, it shows on Monitor and, if you leave alerts on, in your inbox.

| Status line | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not watching yet | No site has been read yet. The first daily check runs soon |
| All clear | Something was read in the last day and nothing needs attention. The read time sits beside it |
| Monitor is behind | The last read is more than a day old. It reads again at the next daily check |
| N things need attention | Open items are listed on the Status tab, biggest problem first |
The tabs
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Status | What needs attention now, tagged Site problem, Metric move or Data trust |
| History | Anything else still open, and a list of what Broke and what was Fixed, with dates |
| Settings | What Monitor watches, and the revenue alert line: a revenue drop past it shows on Monitor |
Email alerts
Alerts are on until you switch them off. The switch is Monitor alerts, in the Notifications tab of Settings. Monitor's own Settings tab shows whether they are on and links there.
Monitor keeps the same events whether alerts are on or off, so nothing is lost if you turn the emails off.
