Connect Google

Bring in visitors and search clicks as read-only sources for Acquisition.

The Google page links your Google account to the workspace, read-only. Google Analytics tells you who visits and where they came from. Search Console adds the clicks and impressions that search sends you, one channel among the ones that feed Acquisition. Connect either, or both.

  1. Connect Search Console

Press Connect Search Console and grant access on Google's screen. Google shows no warning for this one.

  2. Add Google Analytics

Optional. Press Connect Analytics. Google may show an unverified app notice until it finishes reviewing Surfil.

  3. Choose what to read

Back on the page, pick the Google Analytics property and the Search Console site, then press Save and read 12 months. After that your numbers update every day on their own.

Both choices are saved and the page shows the property, the site and the latest month read.

Needs attention

Either no property or site is chosen yet, or Google access was removed or expired. Use Reconnect to sign in again.

Only the workspace owner can connect Google. Disconnect Google revokes access and deletes what was read from it. Numbers you entered yourself stay.

Can I use Surfil without connecting Google?

Yes. Type your numbers on Metrics instead, or read visitors from your own product analytics.

Does Surfil change anything in my Google accounts?

No. The access is read-only.

No properties or sites are listed

The Google account you signed in with must own the property or the verified site. Reconnect with the right account.
