What it means

The Core Web Vitals are Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift. A page passes when at least 75 percent of visits meet the good threshold for each.

They are a light ranking signal, and more importantly they reflect how the page feels to people.
